Asthma Education Presentation

Hiea Almekhlabi and Manasa Kuchavaram, Research Assistants, co-presented their workshop proposal, "Breathe and Boogie", to the School Health Advisory Council of the Corpus Christi Independent School District. Their presentation provided meaningful context for the BREATHE-CC initiative in South Texas, emphasizing the importance of helping children identify triggers and manage asthma symptoms through guided breathing techniques. They further demonstrated how asthma education can empower children, families, and communities to take an active role in promoting respiratory health.
